TDKA condoles demise of former National kabaddi player Haji Nizamuddin

The Thoubal District Kabaddi Association (TKDA) has condoled the demise of former National kabaddi player Haji Nizamuddin on July 26 due to a personal illness.
Haji Nizamuddin, an eminent kabaddi exponent of the State, who was also popularly known as Irabot Bhim, was 82 at the time of his demise, said TKDA in a condolence note.
An emergency meeting of the association was convened today on receiving the news of his passing and the members present observed two minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul, it said.
Haji Nizamuddin was a formidable State player who led Manipur, his parent unit and district, to many achievements during his heyday, it recalled.
He also helped groom many district players and played key roles in organising State level tournaments for decades.
He served as an employee of the Public Works Department, it added.
The demise of the cool, calm, disciplined, dedicated and considerate Kabaddi exponent, is a big loss to the sports fraternity and the State, it continued.
