MNCA U15 ODI: THAU, AKSDO register easy wins

Imphal, January 27 2025: THAU, Thangmeiband and AKSDO, Khangabok on Monday registered comfortable wins against their respective opponents in league matches of the 2nd MNCA Women's U15 One Dav Tro phy 2024-25.At THAU Ground, the home team crushed AL-AMEEN, Lilong by 203 runs riding on half-centuries from Thoithoibi Ahongshangbam (66 runs) and Robeni Usham (55 runs).

Batting first, THAU posted 260/6 in 30 overs with Rahima of AL-AMEEN accounting for two rival wickets.

THAU bowlers spearheaded by Rajkumari Valentina Devi (four wickets) and Thoithoibi (three) ran through the batting line up of AL-AMEEN restricting the opponents to only 57 in 17.1 overs.

Meanwhile, half-centuries by Langlen Ningthoujam (85 runs), Alish Thokchom (63 runs) and Biiiya Khundrakpam (57 runs) helped AKSDO trounce SHADOW.

Thangmeiband by 162 runs in the day's other match at PCC Ground, Mayaikoibi.

AKSDO propelled by the three half-centuries amassed a massive score of 334/5 in 30 overs.

In reply, Viviene Laishram's fighting knock of 66 runs went waste as AKSDO bowlers led by Bijiya Khundrakpam (three wickets) and Laishram Linthoi Chanu (two) halted the SHADOW run chase to 172/9 in 30 overs.
