YWC crush PSC by 9 wkts, complete Superplate tourny semis lineup

YWC (Langthabal) ended their league round campaign on a high note, completing the semifinal lineup of the 4th MNCA Superplate Tournament 2024-25 .
They overwhelmed PSC by 9 wickets on Thursday to set up a semifinal showdown with Group A runners-up CDCC (Sagolband) .
Having topped Group B, YWC's dominant victory over PSC at the Model Hr Sec & Oriental College Ground ensured their qualification.
The Langthabal team finished the league stage with 10 points from six matches, edging out second-placed WYC (Thoubal Wangkhem) on net run rate after both teams amassed 10 points.
Opting to field first, YWC produced a clinical bowling performance, dismissing PSC for just 99 runs in 28.4 overs.
Pukhrambam Prashanta-mani spearheaded the attack with a 3 wicket haul, supported by Maibam Subash and Soubam Rabinson, who each claimed 2 wickets.
Yumnam Chingkhei Nganba, Yenshen-bam Vevek, and Ngangbam Bishwash each contributed with one wicket.
For PSC, Sapam Jellish (22) was the only batter to surpass the 20-run mark.
YWC then efficiently chased down the tar get in just 17 overs, losing only one wicket.
Seram Robinson top-scored with an unbeaten 50, while Jiko Sorokhaibam contributed 24 runs, and Ngangbam Bikramjit remained not out on 17 .
YWC will face CDCC in the second semifinal on January 6, 2025, at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal.
The first semifinal will feature Group A winners RCA (Lilong) against Group B runners-up WYC (Wangkhem) on January 5, 2025, at the same venue.
In Thursday's other match, RULE defeated BLUE HAWK by 114 runs at Moijing Public Ground.
RULE finished third in Group A with 8 points from 7 matches, while BLUE HAWK trailed behind in the standings.
Both teams were unable to advance to the semifinals.
