Bishnupur 2nd Div League: AYC drub THASCO

Imphal, October 19 2017: AYC, Tingkai Khunou drubbed THASCO Kha Khunou 4-0 in last group B league match of the ongoing 12th L Balananda Memorial Second Division Football League today at the Mini Stadium Bishnupur .

The football league organised under the aegis of District Sports Association, Bishnupur from August 22 is participated by 15 teams categorised into two groups .

In today’s one sided match, J Haokip of AYC scored the opener in the 7th minute of the match.

The lead was extended when Haokip’s team fellow Thangneo scored in the 20th minute.

AYC sustained the pressure and continued to attack against the rival and the lead was again extended when L Boipu struck home to make it 3-0 in the 34th minute.

The first half ended with the same score as THASCO could not find their way in the opponent’s half almost the entire half .

After the breather, AYC restarted their goal quest with more incisive attacks .

Thangneo who received a defence splitting pass in the midfield, carried the ball inside the goal box with some deft footwork and fired in his second goal to hand AYC a resounding 4-0 victory against THASCO .

The semi-final matches of the league are scheduled tomorrow at 12.30 pm and 2.30 respectively.
