Imphal, January 14 2026: Lamnganbi ended Manipur's wait for gold medal in the 14th National Sub-Junior Taekwondo Championships as Rajkumari Thoihenbi scored second bronze medal on Day 2 of the championship being underway at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi.

Lamnganbi bagged the gold medal in the girls individual poomsae event as RK Thoihenbi sealed the bronze medal in the U-38 kg category kyorugi event.

Yesterday, Naorem Leishemba won Manipur a silver medal in the individual poomsae event as Laishram Leo (-38 kg) bagged a silver and Ningthoukhongjam Sarina (-47 kg) claimed a bronze medal in the Kyorugi event.

With two medals won today, Manipur have so far amassed 5 medals- 1 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze.

Nongthombam Singhajit and Sagolshem Rojesh are leading as the manager and coach for the Poomsae squad comprising 7 athletes.

19 athletes, led by Nongthombam Singhajit and Lousigam Sarju as coaches, are meanwhile participating in the Kyorugi event.

The championships will conclude on January 15 .
