6th Hockey India Sub-Junior Men's National Championship BIH continue winning streak; ASH thrash RAJ

Hockey Bihar (BIH) continued their winning streak by defeating Hockey Coorg (HCO) by a margin of 3 goals to one in a Group-D match of the 6th Hockey India Sub-Junior Men's National Championship (B-Division), organised by Hockey Manipur under the aegis of Hockey India, today at Hockey Ground, Khuman Lampak.
A double strike from Gulsan Ekka in the 36th and 52nd minute and a goal from Johnson Purty in the 24th minute gave the winning goals to Hockey Bihar (BIH) .
On the other side, Sukal Yan Mondal (50th) and Surya MN (57th) contributed a goal each for HCO.
In another Group-D match today, Assam Hockey (ASH) registered a comprehensive 9-2 victory against Hockey Rajasthan (RAJ) .
Anikit Kumar banged in four goals in the 43rd, 50th, 52nd and 57th minute while Arun Shahani (6th, 10th, 31st) and Manish Sahani (58th, 67th) struck home a treble and a brace respectively for the winning team.
The two goals of RAJ came through Kuljeet Singh and Rohtash in the 18th and 30th minute respectively.
In the third Group-D match, Citizen Hockey XI (CXI) handed an easy 6-1 defeat to Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSS).
The winning goals of CXI were scored by Dilip Singh (20th, 60th), Altaf Mohd (27th), Ajay Singh (36th), Zainul Qamar (54th) and Irshad (69th).The lone goal of MSS was found by Mihir Patil in the 15th minute.
In the Group-C match, a goal each from Uttam Singh (47th) and Gurbinder Singh (63rd) helped Dadra & Nagar Haveli Hockey Association (DNH) seal a narrow 2-1 win against Namdhari XI (NAM).
NAM's lone goal was scored by Amritpal Singh in the 64th minute.
In the Group-B match, Vidarbha Hockey Association (VHA) clinched a thrilling 7-6 victory against Hockey Madhya Bharat (HMB).
A brace each from Arsalan Qureshi (7th, 69th), Faraz Tadvi (31st, 52nd), Raunak Chaudhary (32nd, 65th) and a goal from Kaustubh Baradhiya in the 35th minute gave the seven winning goals to VHA.
On the other hand, Vikas Rajak's treble in the 26th, 66th and 68th minute and strikes from Arbaaz Khan, Ajhar Khan and Afridi Hashmi in the 48th, 53rd and 60th minute gave six goals to HMB.
In today's last Group-C match, Hockey Jammu & Kashmir (HJK) blanked Hockey Puducherry (PUD) 4-0 .
The winning goals of HJK were scored by Manpreet Singh, Vishal Sudan, Tanminder Singh and Manik Sharma in the 17th, 39th, 51st and 53rd minute respectively.
