Imphal, October 08 2018: Thoubal Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised a friendly football match at Thoubal Football ground.

The match was played between the teams of Wangjing Youth Football Club and troops of Assam Rifles.

The match was aimed at further strengthening relations between Security Forces and local populace as well to inculcate sportsman sprit among people.

Both the teams displayed competitive spirit and high standards of sportsmanship during the course of the match.

The youth appreciated the efforts of Assam Rifles to promote sports and ensuring healthy environment by developing healthy relations with local populace.
