The Government school teachers in Manipur have threatened to resort to series of agitation if their plights are not addressed.
In regards to the non-payment of salaries for about four months to the graduate teachers recruited in the year 2007, the Welfare Association of 2006-07 Graduate Teachers on Wednesday submitted a memorandum to the secretary to the Governor of Manipur.
Informing the non payment of salaries who are in the list of Manipur Government Employee List (MGEL) W Romen Singh, general secretary of the Welfare Association of 2006-07 Graduate Teachers stated that a total of about 663 graduate teachers were not paid salaries for four months for the year 2009 .
The association would take up legal actions and different forms of agitation on this matter until the matter is resolved, asserted the general secretary.
