Imphal, December 14 2014: A two day festival of Tribal Performing Arts of Manipur will be held on December 15 and 16 at JN Dance Academy.

Speaking to mediapersons at Manipur Press Club, Director of Eastern Zonal Culture Centre Dr Om Prakash Bharti asserted that the inuagural function of the festival would be joined by various renowned artistes of the State.

The festival would be observed with an aim to promote the indigenous art forms of the tribals.

Rongmei, Kom, Maram, Chothe, Tangkhul, Aimol, Thangal, Maring cultural troupes would be amongst other tribal cultural troupes who would showcase their ethnic and cultural performances during the festival, Dr Om Prakash added.
