Imphal, May 24: 18 Assam Rifles constructed 16 units of rooftop rain water harvesting tanks based on Ferro Cement Technology at Tengnoupal village under operation samaritan.

Tengnoupal villagers have to travel around 1 km in the hilly footpaths to fetch waters.

Keeping these hardships in mind, AR initiated the economically viable project, said a press release.
