UMO imposes restrictions

Imphal, January 14 2026: In view of upcoming Class X and XII examinations, the Universal Mother's Organisation (UMO) has announced temporary restrictions on entertainment activities (like concerts, public shows, mella, housie) from January 27, 2026 onwards.

As per a release issued by UMO Head Office, the restrictions were imposed to help students concentrate on their studies and reduce distractions during the crucial exam period.

The UMO has also appealed to all its branches, local clubs and meira paibis to provide their support in enforcing the restrictions to ensure a conducive study environment for students.
