Imphal, July 01 2009:
Imphal West District Police has asserted that none of its Police Commandos have snatched mobile phone and cash from some people near Khuman Lampak on June 29 night and so there is no question of suspending anyone in this regard.
According to sources from the District Police, on that particular night, acting on a standing order, a team of four police commandos conducted frisking to verify six persons who were found loitering around near Namthilok in North AOC.
Though the commandos slapped them, they have been told to come and collect mobile phones from the police station.
Disciplinary action had been taken up against the four police commandos but they have not been suspended.
