Diesel tanker falls in gorge, driver escapes

Noney, June 04 2025: A loaded diesel tanker heading towards Imphal skidded off the road and fell down a deep gorge near Kambiron village along the NH-37, under Nungba police station, Noney district around 1.10 pm Wednesday.

According to reports, the driver jumped out of the moving vehicle and sustained minor injuries.

The driver has been identified as Gopal Chand Das, son of Binod Das of Rangpur, Silchar, Assam.

The registration number of the ill-fated vehicle is NL01AA7506 .
