'Swachh Manipur' campaign held

Imphal, January 16 2015 : 40 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South)) organised a cleanliness campaign named "Swachh Manipur" at Keithelmanbi Garrison and nearby villages on 16 Jan 2015 .

PRO IGAR (S) in a statement said that the programme was organised as part of undeterred efforts by the Assam Rifles for cleaning the area in and around Keithelmanbi Garrison.

The campaign was undertaken by everyone including villagers and Police representatives to reinstate the responsibility for clean and healthy surroundings.

It was befitting example of the Assam Rifles' commitment in cleaning the environment and development of state, the PRO said.
