Kakching, January 14 2026: The District Administration Kakching on Wednesday observedthe 1 Oth ArmedForces Veterans' Day to honour the invaluable service and sacrifices of the military veterans.

Deputy Commissioner Uppuluri Chaitanya, along with SP Priyadarshini Laishram, honoured ten armed forces veterans of Kakching district at a function held at the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex in Kakching District.

The day is observed every year on January 14 to commemorate the superannuation of Field Marshal KM Cariappa, the first Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Armed Forces.
