Imphal, July 01 2009: Troops of 29 AR of 26 Sector under IGAR (S) apprehended a couple of PREPAK cadres from a vehicle at the mobile check post on NH 39 near Sita track junction, a PIB (DW) release claimed.

The release stated that the check was conducted based on input regarding movements of militants from Moreh to Imphal via NH-39.On further questioning, the couple revealed that both wife and husband were working as over ground workers of PREPAK and were responsible for movement of their cadres from Imphal to Moreh and the other way round, it stated.

They had recently arranged movement of Sergeant Major Ravi alias Sanli of PREPAK across the international border.

The apprehended couple were identified as Ningthoujam Mla (22) and husband, Ningthoujam Rajendro (28), residents of Arong Khunou, Thoubal.

Both of them have been handed over to Tegnoupal Police station on today, the release further stated.
