Imphal, May 24: In a tragic accident at least two persons died at the spot and out of six injured, one is said to be in a critical condition.

The incident occurred today at around noon at Khaishat about one and a half km from Ukhrul town when the jeep carrying eight persons fell into a gorge, informed TSE Ukhrul correspondent.

The vehicle was on its way to Ukhrul from Tuinem village.

The deceased are identified as Phin Meitei (30) of Thangmeiband and LK Somikan Liklei (26) of Tuinem village.
