Bomb hoax creates panic

Thoubal, October 10 2023: The news of the presence of a suspected bomb in a water flask at Waithou under the jurisdiction of Thoubal Police station created panic among the locals of the region.

Later it was found out to be a broken flask when the Assam Rifles tried to detonate the same at a secluded foothills after recovering the item.

Upon receiving the news of the presence of the suspected bomb, the site along National Highway 102 was closed for sometime.

A police team led by Thoubal SP Sachidananda Soibam also rushed to the site and took stock of the situation.
