MLA team head for audience with Shah

Imphal, May 24 2023:
To seriously seek intervention from the Centre and bring an end to the ethnic conflict in Manipur, a team of MLAs and Ministers have flown to Guwahati in separate flights to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah today.
It is reported that the MLAs and Ministers will enquire why the Centre is not able to control the tense situation prevailing in Manipur during the meeting with Amit Shah.
Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Th Satyabrata and Keirao AC MLA L Rameshwar took a flight to Guwahati at around 5.30 pm today.
They were received by Mayang Imphal AC MLA K Robindro at Guwahati.
K Robindro had left Imphal earlier.
The three MLAs along with another team of MLAs and Ministers who will take a charter flight to Guwahati later in the night have already sought an appointment with the Union Home Minister.
The proposal, however, has not been approved till the time of filing this report.
The MLAs and Ministers who will head for Guwahati in a chartered flight at around 10.20 pm today are Health Minister Dr S Ranjan (BJP), Social Welfare Minister H Dingo (BJP), Water Resources Minister Awangbow Newmai (NPF), MLAs K Leishiyo (NPF), Th Shanti (NPP), Kh Loken (NPP), Kh Joykisan (BJP), RK Imo (BJP), Sapam Kunjakeswor (BJP), Dr U Deben (BJP) and Th Arunkumar (BJP) .
Andro AC MLA Th Shyamkumar and Chandel AC MLA SS Olish had also rushed to Delhi earlier in the day.
It is reported that some BJP MLAs of the valley Constituencies are already in Delhi to meet the Central leaders.
Meanwhile, tight security measures have been taken up at the Chief Minister's Bungalow, BJP office at Nityaipat Chuthek and residential quarters and houses of MLAs and Ministers.
