Three-days youth residential camp begins

Imphal, January 18 2015:
A three-day youth leadership residential camp under the aegis of All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) was initiated today at Kumbi Government High School, Kumbi Terakhong.
Participated by a total of 200 campers, the residential camp comes as a continuation of various other youth leadership residential programmes organised by AMUCO from 2014 .
The opening ceremony was presided by AMUCO president Dr Y Mani Khuman, UCOBID president L Ranjit Singh and AMUCO advisor K T Rahman as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
AMUCO president Dr Mani, during his speech emphasised on the need of an able leader in the State.
He said the initiative taken up by AMUCO would hopefully help in producing capable leaders.

Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi Apunba Lup president L Memchoubi and L Ranjit Singh also spoke on the occasion.
Resource person O Nabakumar said any youth with an untainted moral behaviour would, in the long run, prove an effective leader.
The present deteriorating condition of the State could be set right once the importance of good moral behaviour is instilled in the youth, he added.
He further said that such leadership camps would largely benefit the youth of the State.
Mention may be made, AMUCO in association with various civil societies, had organised similar residential camps last year at Imphal East, Thoubal, Imphal West and Bishnupur.
