Conceding that media which disseminate daily information to the people is one of the important mediums, he observed that 'Panty Chaenglwan' which literally means 'journey of life' carries meaningful title.
It is worth to assimilate message which the director, lyricist and artistes of a particular cinema try to convey to the viewers.
A particular cinema would prove meaningless if the viewers do not absorb the underlying message, Gaikhangam said.
Maintaining that Manipur recorded highest number of cinema produced amongst the northeastern States which is laudable, he said that the government under the leadership of Chief Minister O Ibobi is trying to set up film institute and cultural university in the State to promote artistes.
He exuded confidence that the State artistes engaging in different art forms could shine at international level as they possess unique talents and qualities.
There is no sort of talents in the State though there is lack of facility and infrastructure which the government is trying to make up, Gaikhangam added.
Responding to queries from media persons on the proposed visit of General Secretary North East In-Charge of AICC, the Dy CM replied that the General Secretary will be visiting here to launch a campaign for strengthening Congress party.
