BJP Manipur Pradesh has appealed to all the former UG cadres who are currently under Suspension of Operation pact or cease fire agreement not to apply for BJP membership in the ongoing enrolment drive.
A mass enrolment cum online membership drive was launched today at Sawombung Thongkhong ground under the aegis of BJP Lamlai Mandal.
Speaking at the gathering, BJP State unit president in-charge I Mangiton claimed that 1.35 lakh membership forms have been taken in hill districts, 2.65 lakh forms in the valley and another 45,000 forms have been taken by Minority Muslims.
These forms are likely to be submitted shortly, he said while appealing to all former UG cadres currently under SoO pact or cease fire agreement not to submit any membership form even if they have already collected forms.
Their enrolment in the party would be problematic in future, Mangiton stated categorically.
Establishment of a smart city in Chandel district, setting up of a National sports university and a film institute have been listed in the BJP Government's 100 days programme.

He also sought cooperation of Lamlai people towards establishment of a BJP Government in the State after the 2017 State Assembly election.
