Reaching out, when it matters the most, personnel of 28 Assam Rifles, Lilong Post, have been providing all the possible help and aid to the flood affected villagers of Thoubal, Arapti, Lilong, Urup, Khekman and several other villages of Lilong AC round the clock with dedication and a sense of selflessness, seldom seen, since October 9 till date.
The said areas have borne the brunt of the over flowing water from the Thoubal and Imphal river.
As soon as news of water over flowing from the two rivers and inundating human habitations started doing the round, troops of 28 Assam Rifles, Lilong Post rushed to the affected areas and rendered all the help it could.
This is besides the help extended by the Chinga Post of the same Bn at Hatta Golapati and other affected areas in Imphal city.

Water, food, essential relief material, transportations of the people stranded by the flood and medical facilities were made available to the people.
Apart from evacuating the villagers to safer places, transport services were provided to the villagers of Moijin, Lilong Dam, Turel Ahanbi and others.
