"All Manipur Anti Drug Association (AMADA) which has been entirely working to uproot drug menace in the state has decided to launch a campaign for survival in Manipur.
The campaign is to relive the hardships the state is facing out of the prolonged unavailability of essential items in the State at affordable price, though AMADA is mainly engaged in drive against drug, it has been compelled to launch campaign for survival with the participation of all the people of Manipur" said AMADA in a press release today.

Secretary General, AMADA, Ph Abe Chanu lamented that the voice of people of Manipur has been not heard, the meaning of democracy in the state has no relevance in Manipur which is one of the state in the largest democratic country India.
The value of lives in the state has lost its importance, rendering democracy meaningless in Manipur, the press release declared.
"Rampant corruption and crimes has become order of the day, today's society is entangled in deep sea of corruption starting from appointment to every fields though society looks healthy from outside with funds pump into the state, the society is rotten" the press released exclaimed!
The press released further asserted that besides such pathetic condition, the society is being pushed to unbearable hardships.

Secretary General, AMADA, HQ, Ph Abe Chanu stated that more than 60 days economic blockade in the state was a record harassment which did not happened in other part of world.
She shared her solidarity with the suffering of common people by asking when the prices of the essential commodities have touched beyond bearable limit despite lifting economic blockade how could people remain silent, how people accept silently when people are compelled to spent night to collect petrol and diesel, she demanded reason for not protesting it, she denounced government for turning people into beggars with sacks in hand on the roadside for few kgs of rice.
She also demanded answer from Ministers, M L As and bureaucrats on their inaction to relieve the people from prolonged hardships by rising questions wether they too joined the public in queue to collect petrol, diesel for there use, if now how do they manage for their consumption she demanded.
The press lease also stated for extendeding full support to the decision of Transporters' and Drivers' Council's decision to stop plying on national highways 39 until they are fully compensated for the losses incurred during the economic blockade and assurance for their safety and and further appealed not to be deceived with false promises of Government for compensation and save passage which the government have been doing in earlier instances.
She has called upon all the people of Manipur to extend their best possible cooperation in campaign for survival, which AMADA has decided to launch, in an emergency meeting today, the press release stated.
