AR commemorates 26th Kargil Vijay Diwas

Imphal, July 27 2025: Assam Rifles solemnly observed the 26th Kargil Vijay Diwas at Veng, Churachandpur, paying homage to the indomitable courage and supreme sacrifice of the Indian armed forces during the 1999 Kargil War.

According to PRO IGAR (S), a range of inspiring and meticulously organised activities took place at the unit location, drawing enthusiastic participation from nearly 20 local youths.

The day commenced with a spirited flag march led by the young participants, reflecting a strong sense of patriotic pride, unity and an abiding spirit of nationalism.

As the commemorative proceedings continued, the attendees were captivated by the screening of a motivating video on the Kargil War, which vividly portrayed the determination and valour of India's soldiers.

The evocative presentation ignited a palpable sense of nationalistic fervour among the youth, stirring both admiration and pride, the PRO informed.

Officials from Assam Rifles engaged with the young attendees, offering deeper insights into acts of heroism during the Kargil conflict, the PRO informed, adding the session not only enriched their understanding of the sacrifices madehut also inspired a greater sense of duty towards the nation.

A dynamic display of arms and weaponry further illustrated the strength and preparedness of the armed forces, leaving a lasting impression on the assembled youth, the PRO added.
