ABVP cleanses Loktak lake

Imphal, July 27 2025: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Bishnupur unit in collaboration with Students for Development (SFD), Bishnupur organised a cleanliness drive at Sendra and Loktak lake on Sunday.

More than 55 students from various schools and colleges participated in the drive.

The students cleansed surroundings of the lake and collected waste materials to preserve the lake's environment.

ABVP Manipur state secretary Gautam Philem motivated the students to shoulder social responsibilities and work for the betterment of society.

He also emphasised the importance of cleanliness and conservation of Loktak lake.

The cleanliness drive ended with a pledge by the participants to continue raising awareness about keeping Loktak lake clean and pollution-free.
