IEI celebrates 57th Engineers' Day

The Institution of Engineers (India), Manipur State Centre celebrated 57th Engineers' Day at its seminar hall in Government Polytechnic campus, Takyel today on the theme, "Driving Sustainability with Engineering Solutions Embracing the latest AI driven Technology" .
It was graced by Moirangthem Lokendro Singh, Chief Engineer (retired), PWD Manipur; Ng Basantakumar Singh, Controller of Technical Education, Manipur; L Swamikanta Singh, Chairman, IEI, Manipur State Centre and Dr Aheibam Dinamani Singh, MIE, Professor, NIT Manipur as presidium members.
The celebration began with the offering of floral tribute to the photograph of Bharat Ratna Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya.
Speaking on the occasion, L Swamikanta said that Engineers' Day is observed every year on September 15 to honor the birth anniversary of Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, a pioneering figure in engineering.
He said that Manipur State Centre of IEI was established with the aim to provide all possible assistance to the people of the State in the field of engineering.
He expressed his desire to open a Consultancy Programme of IEI to provide various engineering solutions to the people including house construction, environment projects and solid waste project management.
Highlighting that IEI recently organised a workshop to deliberate on construction of 'Meetei Yumjao' at the premises of Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple, L Swamikanta appealed to the people to avail the benefits of such programmes/workshops organised by IEI from time to time.
