Kakching, July 27 2025: As part of yearlong Birth Centenary Celebration of Tripura's first Meetei MLA Rajkumar Kamaljit (1924-2024), a memorial ceremony was organised by Manipuri Sahitya Parishad Tripura (MSPT), at Jalabasa, North Tripura district on Saturday.

The programme was attended by Manipuri Literary and Cultural Forum, Tripura secretary Khoisnam Mangol as chief guest, MSPT North Tripura Branch president Aheibam Budhachandra Singha as functional president and RK Kamaljit's son and Marup weekly Manipuri newspaper editor RK Tarunjit as special guest.

While MSPT assistant secretary Konsam Atul Singha, MSPT North Tripura advisor A Churamani Singha, SEWS, Jalabasa president P Devendra Singha, Jalabasa Thouburoi Lup president Ng Dilip Singha, Dr BR Ambedkar Nursery School, Jalabasa ex-president M Harigopal Singha, and Jalabasa Gram Panchayat member A Nistha Singha were the guests of honour.

Speaking on the occasion, RK Tarunjit informed that the closing function of the birth centenary celebration of RK Kamaljit will be organised by MSPT and Marup at Agartala Press Club on August 8 .
