Cheiraoba, Eid-UI-Fitr greetings extended

Imphal, March 26 2025: Several organisations extended greetings in connection with the upcoming celebrations of Cheiraoba and Eid-Ul Fitr festivals.

In separate releases, Federation of Civil Society Organisations (FOCS), Manipur and South East Asia Cultural Organisation extended greetings on the arrival of 'Sajibu Nongma Panba Cheiraoba' and prayed for peace, prosperity and communal harmony in the state.

They also wished for strengthening the bond of brotherhood between the hill and valley people and jointly facing the challenges posed by illegal Chin-Kuki immigrants from Myanmar and repeated attempts to balkanise Manipur in ethnic lines.

The civil organisations also prayed for restoration of peace and normalcy at the earliest.

Meanwhile, FOCS extended Eid-Ul-Fitr greetings to the people of Manipur, especially the Meitei Pangal, and prayed that the festival would bring peace, prosperity, development, and strengthen the bonds of love among the indigenous communities.
