Students on NIT meet President Murmu

Imphal, December 24 2022: Shangshak Battalion Assam Rifles on Friday organised an interaction of students from Shangshak, Ukhrul district with President of India, Droupadi Murmu.

The event was conducted as part of ongoing National Integration Tour (NIT) to provide opportunities to local students for meeting eminent dignitaries, visit places and institutions of national & historical importance, informed a release by PRO IGAR(S) .

A total of 27 students (11 male and 16 female) along with two local teachers of seven schools from Shangshak and nearby areas are taking part in the said NIT.

Students representing their schools were delighted interacting with the president.

The event provided an opportunity and unprecedented exposure for local students to broaden their horizon and understanding of own country and countrymen, said the release.
