Imphal, April 29 2024: Anal Armed Forces Veterans' Association on Sunday felicitated Assam Rifles of IGAR (S), as part of its yearlong platinum jubilee celebration at Beru Khudam village, Chandel district.

A release by PRO IGAR (S) informed that Assam Rifles had played a key role in organising the event by providing assistance and provisioning a vibrant band display, adding a touch of grandeur to the occasion.

It informed that around 70 children and 400 villagers including ex-servicemen (ESM) were part of the event.

The AR, under Operation Sadhbhavna, has also undertaken the project for the construction of a community hall at Beru Khudam village, it mentioned.

The thanks-giving programme which featured various cultural programmes performed by students from the Anal tribe, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the region, concluded with refreshments.

After felicitation of the Assam Rifles an interaction programme was conducted with the local populace and veterans.
