District level science seminar conducted

Bishnupur, September 24 2023: A district level science seminar on the theme "Millets - a super food or diet fad" was organised by Bishnupur ZEO Zone IV at Diligent Public School in Moirang on Sunday.

The inaugural function of the seminar was attended by Bishnupur ZEO Zone-IV N Chingkhei Singh and Diligent Public School, Moirang principal K Bidyarani Devi as chief guest and president respectively while ZEO Zone-IV DIs M Meghachandra Singh and Th Raghumani Singh, Thambal Marik College, Oinam Physics Department head RK Romen Singh, Botany Department assistant professor M Bharat Singh and Department of Physics assistant professor L Gopal Singh were present as guests of honour.

In his address, N Chingkhei said that the similar seminar is being conducted in all the districts and the toppers will compete at the, state level science seminar.

As part of the seminar, a written quiz competition for students of class VIII to X was also conducted wherein 9 students took part.

Khomdram Chanchan Devi of Mother's Pride Academy, Kwashiphai; Rajluxmi Moirangthem of Diligent Public School; and Diviyani Huyam of Diligent Public School bagged the first, second and third prize respectively.
