The sacred prayer mount of Thamlapokpi bore the marks of violence, riddled with bullet holes.
Many Naga shops, homes, and businesses suffered vandalism, looting, and were burned down causing immense suffering and loss to the peace loving Chandel Naga people.
CNPO informed that the house of M Wanlallian Aimol Naga at Pallel Bazaar was damaged, the newly constructed prayer mount at Thamlapokpi found with bullet holes and shattered win dows, while the house of Ch Aimson Moyon of Kuraopokpi village was razed to the ground.
CNPO fervently called upon all sections of society to show respect to places of worship and refrain from turning their land into battlegrounds.
