30-day workshop cum play production concludes

Kakching, September 24 2023: The valedictory ceremony of the 30-day workshop cum play production organised by the Liberty Theatre Kakching for school children was held today at the Library and Information Centre Kakching.

The workshop was sponsored by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi.

The ceremony was attended by Yambem Satya, president, Liberty Theatre Kakching; Dr Nongmaithem Pramodini, president, Macha Chanu Kakching and Ksh Chaoba, principal, Grace Cottage Academy as the presidium members.

During the ceremony, the participating students presented a production of "Manipur Khunaida Nupi" directed by Uttamkumar Naorem, workshop director and director of Liberty Theatre Kakching.

The play highlighted the vital role of women throughout history and also in the present days.

Altogether thirty students participated in the workshop.

They were presented with a recognition certificate.
