AR holds tribute event, lecture programme

In a solemn ceremony at Moreh town, Assam Rifles paid tribute to rifleman Ramesh Chandra Pant, who made the supreme sacrifice during the Indo-China War at Sela (NEFA), now Arunachal Pradesh, on November 21, 1962 .
According to a PRO IGAR (S) release, rifleman Pant exemplified exceptional courage, unwavering resolve, and selfless loyalty throughout his service, embodying the spirit of comradeship and patriotism that defines our armed forces.
The ceremony participated by 200 personnel from the Assam Rifles commenced with the laying of wreaths in honour of the fallen hero, followed by a motivational address that recounted the heroism displayed by Pant during the operation, the release added.
On the other hand, Assam Rifles organised a lecture programme on "Importance of National Unity" a Government Primary School, Ten-kongjang village in Noney district with an aim to inspire young hearts, emphasising that unity is the bedrock of a resilient nation, especially amidst challenging times.
The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from 45 students, including 12 girls, and 5 dedicated teachers where the children were encouraged to cherish the spirit of togetherness and embrace the idea of an undivided nation.
