Aid provided to snake bite victims

Imphal, October 15 2022:
Khuga Battalion of IGAR (South) on Friday extended lifesaving medical assistance to one Telngai (85) of Mata village in Churachandpur district who was bitten by a snake on her right hand finger.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the lady had minimal local swelling and pain at the site of bite and was brought by her relatives to the Unit Hospital of Assam Rifles where the medical staff examined and immediately rendered essential medical care and stabilised her condition.
She was sent to District hospital for ob servation and further management.
In a similar incident on Thursday, Loktak Battalion saved the life of one H Priya Rani Devi (34) of Phubala village in Bishnupur district who was bitten by a snake on her right leg.
According to PRO IGAR (S), Priya was brought by her relatives to the Unit Hospital of Assam Rifles at 5.30 pm with minimal local swelling and pain at the site of bite.
The medical staff examined and immediately rendered essential medical care and stabilised her condition.
