KMC celebrates Sanitary Workers' Day

Kakching, January 02 2025: Kakching Municipal Council (KMC) organised the 6th Sanitary Workers' Day Celebration 2024 at Council's office on Tuesday to honour sanitary workers who play a major role in sanitising Kakching town.

The event organised under the theme 'Clean Kakching, Clean Manipur, Clean India' was attended by KMC caretaker chairperson Naorem Sanjitku-mar, caretaker vice chairperson Kshetrimayum Jhaljit, caretaker councillors, senior executive officer L Romesh and staffers.

The function was marked by paying of floral tributes to the photos of nine deceased sanitary workers and observing of two-minute silence in their memory along with presenting gifts to in-service sanitary workers.
