CRPF pays tribute, conducts CAP

Imphal, January 02 2025:
On the occasion of 22nd death anniversary of 'Shaheed' Surjit Singh of 31 Bn CRPF, who attained martyrdom on January 1, 2003, 109 Bn CRPF, Mongsangai organised a tribute programme at his home town Kakching Ningthou Leikai on Wednesday.
In a release, the battalion commandant informed that officers and troopers, in presence of ex-MLA Th Tomba Singh and other dignitaries, paid tributes to the martyr.
Speaking on the occasion assistant commandant Laxmikanta Singh called 'Shaheed' Surjit symbol of courage, sacrifice, and patriotism, expressing that his selfless act will always be remembered and cherished.
He also offered condolences to his family and saluted his bravery and sacrifice.
Meanwhile, as a part of Civic Action Programme for the year 2024-25 on Thursday at N Boljang village under New Keithelmanbi police Station in Kangpokpi district, Manipur & Nagaland Sector, Imphal, 30 Battalion CRPE posted at S Saheibung distributed water storage tanks, blanket, solar lights and rechargeable torch lights to the villagers.
The programme inaugurated by Kangpokpi/Kohima CRPF DIG Manish Kumar Sachar was attended by 30 Bn second-in-command Mahendra Singh, assistant commandants Ravi Chhetri and Ashok Kumar Panigrahi, and medical officer Dr Neeraj Kumar.
