Susindro takes jibes at dissidents

Imphal, April 18 2023: Amidst the internal differences in the BJP led Government coming out in the open CAF&PD Minister L Susindro has said that a group of 3-4 MLAs camping at New Delhi to defame Chief Minister N Biren Singh is bound to fall flat on its face.

In a telephonic conversation with The Sangai Express, the Minister said that the BJP is a very disciplined political party which works from the grassroots to the top level with a set of guidelines.

Those who joined the party recently may not know this, he said taking a jibe at the dissidents camp.

Saying that the party leaders at the Centre and the people of Manipur see the changes brought in Manipur under the leadership of N Biren Singh, Susindro maintained that the Chief Minister has been taking up many initiatives which his predecessors couldn't do.

"It was our Chief Minister who boldly stepped up and ended the months-long blockade in the hill district despite being new to office," the Minister recalled.

Claiming that N Biren has been advocating and working to strengthen the brotherly relationship between the hill and valley people, Susindro said that the Chief Minister also played the central role in restoring the bond among different communities residing in the State.

Further stating that all logical people support the War on Drugs campaign and the legal proceedings taken up against illegal immigrants, he maintained that some power hungry MLAs, unfortunately, have been spreading baseless propaganda against the Chief Minister.

What will be the future of the State if all legislators start camping at New Delhi for not getting Ministerial berth, he asked and maintained that he did not hold any grudge against anyone during the tenure of BJP 1.0 in Manipur for not being inducted in the Council of Ministers.

There will be no good governance in a democratic Nation if all legislators vie for a place in the Cabinet, he added.

Saying that it is the nature of the BJP to remove Ministers from the Cabinet if they cannot work in accordance with the responsibility given, Susindro said that the priority of every MLA must be people's welfare and nothing else.

Saying that two of the BJP MLAs questioned the work of the party on social media and it was unfortunate, Susindro continued that those who have been spreading lies are people who only want power.

Reiterating that BJP is a political party which works from grassroots to top level under certain ideals, the CAF & PD Minister said that the BJP keeps its unit presidents in every State to monitor their performance.

He went on to claim that N Biren is a rare leader who extends fullest cooperation to all legislators in taking up developmental projects.
