PNB opens first branch in Noney

Noney, July 24 2024:
The first branch of Punjab National Bank (PNB) in Noney was inaugurated by Noney DC Dr Sharath Chandra Arroju, on Wednesday.
In his speech at the inauguration function, Dr Sharath praised the PNB officials for their efforts in establishing the new branch despite challenges and commended their dedication towards providing quality services to the community.
Dr Arroju while expressing gratitude to the village authority and landlord for offering suitable location for the bank, also expressed optimism that the new branch will enhance opportunities for the Noney denizens and provide access to various financial services.
PNB's Imphal Circle assistant general manager Manasij Chakrabarti appealed for support and cooperation to the bank and also encouraged people of Noney to take advantage of government-sponsored schemes and loans available through the bank.
The function was attended by PNB Imphal chief manager Kundan Kumar, deputy manager Pamei Poukingai, first branch manager RL Ambedkar Raipuni and other officials.
Notably, Punjab National Bank is the second largest bank in India after the State Bank of India, in terms of branches and ATMs.
Noney district now has seven bank branches, including those of SB1, Canara Bank, MRB, PNB, UGO Bank and HDFC.
