Bodies congratulate first Naga Professor at DU

Dr Khole Timothy, hailing from Purul Akutpa village in Senapati district, has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first Naga to be appointed as a Professor in Mathematics at Delhi University.
His accomplishment has been widely celebrated as a symbol of inspiration and pride by various organisations, including the Naga Peoples' Organisation (NPO), Poumai Naga Union (PNU), and Poumai Naga Tsiidoumai Me (PNTM).
The NPO lauded this achievement as a proud moment for the Naga community, highlighting the honour and inspiration it brings to tribal youth aspiring for academic excellence.
Similarly, the PNU noted Dr Timothy's dedication, academic prowess, and his role as a beacon of inspiration for aspiring scholars, projecting confidence in his continued impact in academia and beyond.
Meanwhile, the PNTM described Dr Timothy's promotion to professor, effective from December 29, 2024, as a testament to his expertise, resilience, and passion for mathematics, and an embodiment of the transformative power of perseverance.
