MUSU election scheduled for July 31

Imphal, July 24 2024: Manipur University Students' Union (MUSU) election for the academic year 2024-2025 is scheduled on July 31, 2024 .

According to a notification, nomination forms can be obtained from July 24 and submitted within 5 pm of July 28 .

The scrutiny of nomination forms is scheduled for July 29 at 11 am, and candidates can withdraw their nominations until 5 pm the same day.

Voting will be conducted from 8 am to 12 noon at the Old Social Sciences Block, with vote counting beginning at 1:30 pm at Dr Kamal Indoor Stadium.

Each nomination form costs Rs 100, with an additional security deposit of Rs 1000 for candidates running for President or Secretary.

Successful candidates will have their security deposits refunded, while unsuccessful candidates will not.

Fifty per cent of the deposit will be refunded to candidates who withdraw their nominations.

Candidates must attach copies of their Class X pass certificate for age proof and mark sheets of previous semesters, attested by a Gazetted Officer or University teacher.

The presence of the candidate, proposer, and seconder, along with their university-issued identity cards, is mandatory during the scrutiny process, the notification informed.
