Army extends support to displaced

Imphal, April 15 2024:
Indian Army stepped forward to support displaced families in Komlakhong and surrounding villages in Bishnupur district on Monday, and distributed spools of wool and essential items necessary for knitting shawls, sweaters and blankets.
The initiative empowered the displaced families to generate income by engaging in the production of clothing items.
The items distributed were specifically requested by the women living in relief camps.
With 500 beneficiaries, the initiative not only addresses the immediate needs of the affected families but also underscores the Indian Army's unwavering commitment to serving and supporting communities during challenging times, informed a statement issued by PRO, Defence.
