AR conducts medical camp

Imphal, May 12 2023:
A team of medical officer and staff from 33 AR, Keithelmanbi organised medical camp to aid the sick and needy people of five villages in Sadu Chiru area that were adversely affected by the ongoing crisis.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that on May 3 villages of Sadu Chiru were burned by a mob forcing villagers to flee.
They were trapped and unable to access medical help due to threat of harm by the mob and the curfew imposed in Imphal valley.
These villagers along with neighbouring villagers of Kom tribe approached 16 Kumaon and 33 Assam Rifles for medical assistance.
A total of 228 villagers including 86 female and 79 children were treated in the medical camp.
A column of 16 Kumaon provided the necessary security cover to the camp from inimical elements, it added.
