Imphal, October 10 2023: Bishnupur district police commandos along with a team of Phougakchao Ikhai police station rescued an abducted man from near Moirang Khunou Ethnic Park, on Tuesday.

The rescued man has been identified as Md Tamijur (26) son of Md Islaudddin of Kwakta Ward No 6.Police source said that he was abducted by a group of unknown miscreants, who came in a Santro Car without registration plate, from Kwakta Pangal Lamkhai area on Tuesday around 3.20 pm.

As soon as the incident was reported, the police team launched a search and rescue operation, and subsequently rescued him from Moirang Khunou area in the evening.

He was handed over to his family members after completing formalities.
