CRPF distributes water purifier, sports items

The 8th battalion CRPF organised a civic action programme at Tronglaobi on Monday during which sports items including volley ball and net, football, etc., along with water purifiers were distributed to the locals residing in areas covered by D and E companies of the battalion.
The distribution function was attended by Moirang MLA Th Shanti Singh, Thanga MLA T Robindro Singh, 8 battalion commandant Chandra Shekhar, CMC Dr Bokam Nagmani, E-coy OC Chanchai Mazumdar, assistant commandants Vag Singh and Rajiv Kumar, Moirang SDPO Shantosh Singh and Moirang OC Rajen Singh, among others.
Speaking on the occasion, commandant Chandra assured that the battalion would con tinue to serve the people of Manipur by carrying out such humanitarian activities.
A/4 battalion CRPF also organised a Civic Action Programme at the 2nd IRB Camp Naranseina which was attend ed by commandant Chandra Sekha, 2nd IRB commandant Hopson Sapam and local villagers.
In his address, Chandra Sekhar highlighted the importance of the Civic Action Programme organised annually under MHA to provide essential items to local communities.
He stressed that the programme helps strengthen ties between security forces and locals, fostering cooperation and trust in CRPF-deployed areas.
As part of the programme, water purifiers, solar lamps and sports items (volleyballs, footballs) were distributed to villages in and around the CRPF unit.
