AR, Indian Army celebrate Republic Day

Assam Rifles commemorated India's 76th Republic Day with a series of patriotic events across multiple districts in Manipur on Sunday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the Republic Day celebration was commemorated to bolster national pride, strengthen community bonds, and honour the nation's heritage.
The events were marked by wreath laying Ceremonies, unfurling of the National Tricolour, singing of the National Anthem and patriotic songs, cultural performances, patriotic speeches, interaction with IDPs, organising essay, drawing & quiz competitions, medical assistance, distribution of essentials, conduct of sports events, interaction with ex-servicemen, screening of patriotic movies and security meetings.
Among others the celebrations were held at Mantripukhri, Komlakhong and I Koireng in Imphal West district; Irengbam and Oinam relief camp under Bishnupur district; Waroiching in Kangpokpi district; Sajik Tampak, Sehlon, Moltuk village, Larong and Aibol Joupi of Chandel district; Sugnu, Bengali Primary School-Serou Part II in Kakching district; Yangoubung and D Zalenbung of Tengnoupal district; Sangaikot Assam Rifles camp in Churachandpur district; Shangshak and Somsai in Ukhrul district; and Chassad in Kamjong district.
Meanwhile, PRO Defence informed that the Indian Army celebrated the 76th Republic Day with enthusiasm and patriotic fervour across multiple locations in Manipur, fostering unity, national pride and harmony among the communities showcasing the unwavering commitment of Army to strengthen ties with the people and promote a shared sense of patriotism.
The celebrations marked by unfurling of the National Flag, singing of National Anthem, distribution of sweets, games and painting competition were held at Leimakhong Military Station with participation by students from Red Shield Army Pre-Primary School, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Disha School and L&H Bethel School, Bongmol village, Genesis Academy, New Canaan village, Paramount Standard English School (Leikoiching), Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (Andro), Khurkhul, Dwarika and Makhan villages.
