Scribes, cops lead cleanliness drive in Majorkhul

Imphal, January 02 2025: Ahead of the golden jubilee celebration of Manipur Press Club, a social service camp was jointly conducted by members of All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) and personnel of City police station in Majorkhul area on Thursday.

The cleanliness drive, themed "Keep Our City Clean", was conducted both at the Press Club premises and in the surrounding areas of Majorkhul.

Speaking on the sidelines of the drive, AMWJU president Bijoy Kakchingtabam noted that such cleanliness drives are crucial for maintain ing a clean environment and called for more such initiatives in the future.

He also exhorted both journalists and the police personnel to promote the spirit of mutual cooperation.

City police station OC N Gokul, under whose leadership the police personnel joined AMWJU members for the cleanliness drive, stated that the initiative not only aims to clean the area but also strengthen the relationship between the police and journalists, fostering trust and cooperation between the two.
