Two JRC units opened in Thoubal

Imphal, April 29 2024: In connection with the observance of World Red Cross Day 2024, two Junior Red Cross (JRC) units were opened at Ruda Academy and Chaoyaima Higher Secondary School, Thoubal respectively on Monday.

According to an Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Manipur State Branch release, the two JRC units were opened in collaboration with IRCS Thoubal District Branch.

The Units were opened by IRCS State chairman Narendra Ningombam and Thoubal District Branch Dr Ksh Manglem.

The event was attended by IRCS Manipur honorary secretary Athokpam Nabachandra, JRC coordinator Jadu Khundongbam and Thoubal honorary secretary Kangabam Sadananda, and other volunteers.

On the occasion, various resource persons spoke about Red Cross Society, followed by a one day basic first aid training for the JRC volunteers.
