Catholic Congress concludes at Chandel

Imphal, January 27 2025:
St Paul's Parish Liwachangning organised its 41st Catholic Congress at Holy Cross Church, New Lamkang Khunthak village in Chandel district from January 17 to 20.under the theme 'Pilgrims of Hope'.
According to a release, the Catholic Congress inaugurated by its assistant parish priest reverend father Samuel Dilbung had parish pastoral secretary W John Tharshing Moyon invoking God s blessings for the grand success of the event, and Catholic Congress president SS Samson lamkang hoisting the Catholic Congress Flag.
The evening session featured members of 19 churches holding rosary prayer for peace in the state, strengthen the Catholic faith, success of the event, development of the host church and wellbeing of all the parishioners of St Paul s Parish.
The 2nd session of the second day included St Paul's Parish reverend father Aloysius Pao Seiba reflected on the gospel for transformation for the salvation of Christ whereas on the 3rd dav.
Most Archbishop ot Imphal DD, emeritus Dominic Lumon presented the 1st Lifetime Achievement Awards of the Catholic Congress.
St Paul's Parish to 14 pioneers, catechists and leaders who contributed in strengthening the Catholic faith of St Paul s Parish.Ute release also informed that the Congress concluded with a Biblical skit, bible quiz, choreographies and group song competitions with the farewell night filled by the melodious voice of the solo song competition organised by Parish Catholic Youth Organisation.
